    You complete the qualification in your location remotely using the ITB Tracker software with dedicated support.

    ITB can also provide Assessors and Verifiers.

    ILM Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mentoring skills

    The Award in Introduction to Mentoring Skills aims to equip team leaders and aspiring first time managers with the skills and knowledge to understand and undertake effective mentoring to aid their own personal development. This will enable them to move into supervisory and management roles later with greater ease.

    ILM Level 3 Qualification in Leadership and Management

    The level 3 Award in Leadership and Management is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. They particularly support practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

    In order to achieve the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management a minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 credits are required, with a minimum of 2 units.

    Assessment can be just part of the competence jigsaw, with verification another important piece.

    Internal verifiers have a significant role in ensuring assessments are being carried out in accordance with Competence Management System requirements. As with our assessment training packages, our courses for verifiers have both OPITO and SQA accreditation to guarantee the quality of the content and delivery.

    OPITO Internal Verifier

    This internal verifier award is designed to be utilised by any organisation where verification of competence assessments is required as part of a competence management system.

    Attendance on this programme is open to delegates who: have an OPITO approved competence assessor certificate or equivalent, and relevant experience as an assessor in the workplace (i.e. have an assessment record covering a minimum of two standalone competence units); are willing to verify assessment decisions; are prepared to ask questions as required to clarify an element of the standard(s) being assessed; have the ability to judge whether the assessor’s performance/responses are acceptable and satisfy the requirements of the standard(s) being assessed; have the ability to correctly complete the verification paperwork/report; are able to give constructive feedback to the assessor on the results of the internal verification; are willing to take part in external audits of their organisation’s CMS.

    SQA Internal Verifier Award

    The Internal Verifier award is a unit of accreditation which recognises competence for those who have responsibilities for quality assuring workplace assessment. It can be acquired by those who are quality assuring assessment of in-house competencies and also those businesses that provide their workforce with opportunities of training and assessment to obtain vocational qualifications.

    All candidates are required to be qualified and practicing workplace competence assessors.

    Each applicant must have access in the workplace to two qualified assessors for the purpose of their verification activities while working towards the award. Their qualifications will be authenticated prior to commencement on the course.

    CMS Support Package 1 - Select, Measure and Review

    This is our basic support package which involves the following: Assistance with identifying a CMS standard to adhere to, a one day audit visit, preparation of audit report and management report with recommendations. Then all of this information will be incorporated into a one day CMS workshop for up to eight of your employees in order to establish a common direction and understand where your current practices measures up against industry best practice. The output of the above can then be used to identify your tasks and plan the CMS implementation project.

    CMS Support Package 2 - Select, Measure, Review and Plan

    This support package is the same as above but we will also provide you with a qualified Project Manager for up to two days in order to facilitate the development of the Project Plan for implementing your CMS based on the outputs of the select, measure and review phase. This can be very helpful for organisations that do not have the relevant project management skills in house.

    CMS Support Package 2 - Select, Measure, Review and Plan with support visits

    This support package contains all the benefits of the above two packages but you will also get up to 10 hours of support visits included to review your progress and provide advice and guidance on the projects progress.
